【摘要】The work of my group focuses on bone tissue engineering and wound healing, especially vascularization and angiogenesis stimulation by bioactive materials for tissue repair and regeneration. In this seminar, I will briefly introduce basic principles of tissue engineering, share our work on investigating the bioactive materials, studying the effects of biomaterials on cells and on cell-cell interactions, understanding the mechanisms through which bioactive materials stimulate vascularization and angiogenesis and designing bioactive injectable hydrogels for promoting wound healing.

【报告人简介】Dr. Haiyan Li received her Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. After graduation, she worked in Unilevel Research China through April 2006. She did postdoctoral research in Monash University in Australia and in INSERM France before joining Med-X Research Institute of SJTU in 2011 as an Associate Professor. Main research interests in her group include: Bone tissue engineering and angiogenesis in tissue engineered constructs, including development of new biomaterials for stimulating angiogenesis in tissue-engineered constructs and investigation of the related mechanisms. She has published 48 SCI papers with a total impact factor over 218 in high-impact journals, including Biomaterials and J Controlled Release. The published articles have been cited over 1300 times. As a principle investigator, Dr. Li is supported by many research agencies including the NSFC. She is the recipient of SMC Young Faculty Award (2012-2015) and she has also obtained 'Pujiang Scholar Program Award' of Shanghai municipality (2013). She is a council member of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Branch of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering (CSBE) (2015-2018) and a committee member of Youth Committee in CSBE (2014-2017), a committee member in Biomaterials Branch of Shanghai Society of Biomedical Engineering, and a member in Chinese Society for Biomaterials.
